Festival Fortnight 2016 programme goes live

This year’s Festival Fortnight brochure is now out, with a bigger and wider programme than ever.

The Festival takes place from the 1st — 14th June every year and provides opportunities for everyone featuring sporting, cultural, academic, social and recreational events

Since the first festival took place in 2013, we have gradually expanded our events across the country and there are already 54 events on this year’s programme.

Check out the programme to see some of the brilliant events that sports groups and partner organisations have been busy working on this year. Keep checking the website for other events which will be added as they are arranged.

You can also follow us on Twitter (@LEAPsports) or on Facebook (facebook.com/leapsports.org) where many of our events are also listed. If you are going to post or tweet photos then please use #DiverseSport We’ll be collecting the best photos throughout the fortnight.

So if you’d like to get involved, game for trying something new, or just fancy coming along to hear more, then get signed up to an event now. You can check out all the events on the website or download a copy of the programme.

Festival Fortnight aims to increase the visibility and participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people in Scottish sport, provides opportunities to raise awareness of LGBTI issues within sport and creates spaces to examine wider equality, inclusion and human rights issues within the world of sport and physical activity.
