Three fabulous events taking place in June in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.

We are grateful to Scottish Book Trust for support through their Live Literature programme, to be providing three fabulous events with Scottish based writers as part of our Festival Fortnight this year.

Author, poet and performer Colin McGuire considers different dimensions of identity through themes of Scottishness, human sexuality, masculinity and mental health.  In a unique and exciting collaboration with GULGBTQ+ Students Association, Colin will offer a creative writing and poetry workshop following a spoken word performance.  This event in Glasgow takes place at Bridie Library in the Glasgow University Student Union on Friday 2nd June and you can find out more and get booked up at the link here.

Performance Poet Katherine McMahon will showcase Fat Kid Running which is a spoken word piece exploring what it takes to be at home in a body.  Join Katherine as she takes you cross country on her journey from the fat kid skiving PE lessons, to a fat, fierce, feminist runner.  This event will take place in both Edinburgh and in Inverness and a short panel discussion with follow both events.  The Edinburgh event will take place on Tuesday 13th June at The Bakers Arms and you can find out more or get booked up at this link here.  The Inverness event will take place on Thursday 15th June at Eden Court and you can find out more or get booked up at this link here.
