LEAP Sports are Sports Icon of the Year 2016

In the last few weeks, LEAP Sports have received two amazing awards for our work in equality in sport initiatives.

This year we received the Sports Icon of the Year Award at the 2016 Icon Awards. Not only was it a great honour to receive the award, but a privilege to be highlighted in the company of many wonderful icons and role models that we take great inspiration from. Other winners on the night included Angela Crawley MP, Susan Douglas-Scott and Glasgow Women’s Library.

We were also delighted to receive the Event of the Year award at the Charity Champions 2016 awards alongside our partners Unity Enterprise for delivering Pride House Glasgow for the Homeless World Cup in July. Our volunteers were also recognised on the final shortlist for their work at Pride House as part of the Evening Times Community Champions Award a few weeks earlier.
