Our Vision and Strategic Goals

LEAP Sports vision is for unconditional inclusion for LGBTIQ+ people, and for the eradication of LGBTIQ+phobia in sport and physical activity in Scotland and beyond. LEAP Sports exists to dismantle the structural, social, and individual barriers that prevent LGBTIQ+ people from accessing, participating in, excelling in, and enjoying sport.

Our stratgegic goals are the broader aims that describe what we want to achieve in the current period. These are often referred to as objectives, and they are: 

Community: Growing participation and engagement in sport and physical activity for LGBTIQ+ people in Scotland.

Sector: Activating the sport and physical activity sector to better include and meet the needs of LGBTIQ+ people.

Movement: Increasing influence of, and advocacy for, LGBTIQ+ people to improve the whole sporting system in Scotland and beyond. 

Society: Increasing influence of, and advocacy for, LGBTIQ+ people to improve the whole sporting system in Scotland and beyond.
