Pride Youth Games

A yearly residential for LGBTIQ+ young people

Pride Youth Games (PYG) is a yearly weekend residential for 16-25 year old lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary, queer and other diversely identifying young people. The weekend includes taster sessions of activities provided by different sports organisations and groups. Pride Youth Games rotates between Scotland, Wales, and England and is held in a different place each year: Carlisle in 2015, Stirling in 2016, Pembrokeshire in 2018, Manchester in 2019, Largs in 2022, Wrexham in 2023, Lancashire in 2024, and Largs in 2025. The events occur in partnership with Pride Sports and Pride Sports Cymru

The event provides a space to meet and get to know other young people from across the UK, and is a chance to try out different sports and activities in a safe, inclusive, and validating environment. It also offers an opportunity to explore wellbeing for LGBTIQ+ young people. The weekend is entirely FREE and available for all young LGBTIQ+ people living in the UK, bringing people together from Scotland, England, and Wales.

This year, PYG was in Largs, Scotland, organised by LEAP Sports on the 8th to 10th August. It was an amazing event, and we thank everyone who attended and helped with it. It was also the first time Ireland and Northern Ireland were both represented at the games! Read more about it here.

Next year's event is in Lancashire, England on the 31st July to 2nd August! This is organised by Pride Sports and Street Games.
