About the club

Lasswade Archery Club was founded in 1979, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. We are affiliated with Archery GB and Scottish Archery, where we fall under the Eastern Area.

The club attracts members from Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and as far south as the Borders. We welcome archers of all abilities, whether a beginner, novice or experienced archer, children over 10 years of age to octogenarians, and archers with disabilities.

The club welcomes all bow-styles; we currently have members who shoot Olympic Recurve, Compound, Barebow, English Longbow and occasionally American Flatbow and Mongolian Horse Bow. We run beginners’ courses and regular coaching sessions, and take part in Archery GB’s Range Returners scheme.

Lasswade Archery Club promotes and expects a non-judgemental and supportive attitude from members, and for members to be respectful of each other.

We have four training sessions available each week, along with a programme of fun shoots, badge award schemes, in-club competitions, and coaching.

Cost

£240 per year for seniors, £120 per year for juniors, students, unwaged and over 60s. Archery GB and Scottish Archery affiliation is required.
