Scotland hosts queer activism training

RALYO project training in Larbert

LGBTIQ+ sports activists from Scotland joined an international group for the second stage of the RALYO training course which was hosted at Carronvale House in Larbert. The venue provided a supported and comfortable learning environment for the intercultural event, and the 36 participants developed and deepened their skills, whilst progressing their individual project work.

Our longstanding partner organisation SaplinQ from Kosice, Slovakia, are currently running the 2-year Erasmus+ funded project for queer activists providing training in audio-visual literacy and digital storytelling.  The training is targeted at those who are volunteering or working in LGBTIQ+ groups and organisations such as sports groups, youth groups, PRIDE organisers, community groups and so on. It is aimed at those who want to develop critical audio-visual literacy, awareness and digital storytelling practices and exploring positive impact as a method for working in queer activism.
