Become a Pride House 2026 Volunteer
14th January 2026
Sign up now to become a Pride House volunteer
We're excited to announce that volunteer recruitment is now open for Pride House Glasgow 2026, as The Commonwealth Games return to Glasgow from the 23rd July until the 2nd August 2026.
Pride House will once again create a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive space where LGBTIQ+ people, allies, athletes, visitors and local communities can come together to connect to sport, enjoy culture, and examine equality and human rights.
Pride House has a proud history in Glasgow, first opening its doors during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and later returning for the Homeless World Cup 2016 and the European Championships 2018, making it the only city in the world to have hosted a Pride House three times. In 2026, we’re extending that legacy, and we’re inviting volunteers to help shape the next chapter.
If you have an interest in LGBTIQ+ equality, human rights and sport, Pride House could be the perfect opportunity to get involved.
What will volunteers do?
We’re looking for a wide range of volunteers with different interests and skills, including people
- welcoming visitors and providing front-of-house support
- helping deliver events and activities
- supporting setup and venue operations
- supporting accessibility and inclusion in practice
- helping with communications, photography and social media
- supporting artists, speakers and community groups in the programme
You don’t need formal qualifications, what matters most is enthusiasm, reliability, and a commitment to Pride House values.
What you'll get from volunteering
Volunteering at Pride House is a brilliant way to:
- meet new people and make friends
- build confidence and experience
- support LGBTIQ+ inclusion at a major international event
- be part of a proud legacy of Pride House volunteering in Glasgow
Volunteers at previous Pride Houses often describe the experience as welcoming, meaningful and fun, and we want Pride House 2026 to be the same (and even better).
Key Dates and Training
We’ll be recruiting volunteers on a rolling basis, with:
- training provided
- opportunities to volunteer throughout the Games period
- options for people who can commit regularly or just do a few shifts
We’ll share more details about the venue and programme as plans develop, but you can register now to be part of the journey from the beginning.
