Calling all young sport activists

The young people’s sport panel for Scotland is now recruiting 16 new members…

…and it would be great to have an LGBTI voice on the panel.

The panel is looking for young people to speak up for sport and work with sportscotland and Young Scot to help influence and shape sport in Scotland. This is a great opportunity to increase the diversity of representation on the panel. Young people should be:

- Living in Scotland
- Aged between 14 — 25
- Passionate about sport
- Able to offer up to 3 hours a week
- Want to make a difference

Being part of the sport panel is a great opportunity for a young person; over the years the experience has made a positive difference to the lives of past and present panel members and they have made an important contribution to Scottish sport. The sport panel have been involved in a range of activities supporting the development of projects like School Sport Awards, young decision makers, attending and contributing to workshops and conferences and creating content for the web and social media to raise the profile of sport. It’s a brilliant way for young people to build confidence, gain positive experiences to support their future careers and of course, to make new friends!

You can click here to find out more information, and to see a video of other young people talking about their experiences.
