ESC volunteering Europe

Short-term immersive volunteering placements in Europe

Description of the activity

LEAP Sports are looking for 2 volunteers from Scotland who are interested in travelling to Spain or Slovenia for 3 months and undertaking a short term intense volunteering experience.

These placements are fully funded as part of the European Solidarity Corps and due to the UK's withdrawal from the European Union, this is the last opportunity that such placements will be available.  Volunteers should be between 18 and 30 years old. All placements must take place before December 2023. You would support different areas of work decided by your interests and skills but could involve community or youth work, communications and business support, or policy and campaigning work.

Accomodation, food and transport arrangements

This project is funded by the European Commission. The project covers:
- Travel costs (return air fare to Spain or Slovenia)
- Grant to cover accomodation, food, pocket money and local transport

In Spain, you would be based in the city of Zaragoza with our partner organisation, Asociacion Mundus. You can read more about their work here:

In Slovenia, you would be based in the capital city Ljubljana with our partner organisation, European University Sports Association (EUSA). Our partners in EUSA are ideally looking for someone to join them for their summer events season July-September. You can read more about their work here:
