Porty Pride Goes Sporty

First year success 

LEAP Sports partnered with Porty Pride to bring Sporty Pride to the Sunday of their Pride weekend celebrations on the first week of June. The Edinburgh Queer sports community turned out in force to deliver over 15 sport taster sessions. Activity ranged from running, football, boxing, fencing, sailing, basketball, padel and much more.

On a mostly sunny day the events were very well attended with members of the LGBTIQ+ community and allies either taking part in something new or celebrating an activity they are already passionate about. We are excited to continue to work with Porty Pride to deliver Sporty Pride again in 2027.

A massive thank you to all the Porty Pride volunteers, our network of LGBTIQ+ led clubs and everyone who took part.
