…and help us to make decisions about our 2017 small grants.

In 2017, LEAP Sports will have small grants available for groups and clubs to run events and activities during our Festival Fortnight. There will be at least two rounds of events grants made available alongside a new sports club development grant.

In order to ensure objectivity and to help us assess applications for grants, we’d like to develop a panel who will help us to make good decisions.

What’s the commitment?

The panel will meet twice and one of these which is already fixed is an Assessment Panel meeting which will take place in Falkirk on Monday 20th March at 6pm. In addition to both meetings, you will be required to spend some time reading applications.

So who are you looking for?

We are looking for up to 5 people who have good independent thinking, scrutinising and assessment skills. We seek people from a variety of backgrounds which includes members of sports groups and clubs, LGBTIQ+ people and community activists.

What if I’m a member of a group who might want to apply?

There is no problem with this. You will not be allowed to assess applications from any groups which you are a member of, but you may still have plenty to contribute to the process including assessment of other applications.

Will I be paid?

No, this is a non-remunerated position. You will be able to claim travel expenses, we will provide lovely cups of tea, and we might even manage a biscuit.
