Out & About Ayrshire paddleboarding success

Our Out & About in Ayrshire Project hosted a 6 week Paddleboarding Course in Irvine over the summer months. During the six weeks 10 people joined the group regularly to give it a go on the water, with the majority graduating from sit down paddle boarding to full stand up paddleboarding by the end!

Many of our participants enjoyed it so much that by the end of the six weeks they had well and truly caught the bug and were proud owners of their own Paddleboards!

Our graduates have also started their own group called LEAP On Board with the aim to meet socially and support anyone who would like to give Paddleboarding a wee try. Out & About in Ayrshire are planning a sports group in Millport in October and Curling sessions in Stevenston during November and December, if you are interested please email our project officer Stuart Cooper at stuart@leapsports.org
