Pride House Glasgow 2026 venues announced
20th April 2026
A Pride House Campus for Glasgow
We are delighted to announce that Speakeasy in Glasgow city centre will host the main Pride House Glasgow 2026 Lounge, creating a welcoming drop-in hub where LGBTIQ+ people and allies can gather to watch and enjoy the Games together.
Pride House is an official pop-up LGBTIQ+ community space that happens alongside major sporting events around the world. During the 2026 Commonwealth Games, Pride House Glasgow will act first and foremost as a place where people can drop in, watch live coverage of the sport, attend events, and be part of the atmosphere of the Games. Located in the heart of the city centre, Speakeasy will serve as the main Pride House Lounge, open throughout the day for visitors, local communities and sports fans who want a welcoming space to experience the excitement of the Games together.
Alongside the main Pride House Lounge, several nearby spaces will come together to form a Pride House campus. This includes the Pride House Events Room at Boardwalk, Impact Arts, just a short walk away, which will host workshops, discussions and a programme of complementary events. In addition, Bigglestones Books will host the Pride House Reading Room, offering a more reflective space for literary activity, conversation and cultural moments within easy reach of the main hub.
Alongside live sport and the social drop-in space, Pride House will feature a supporting programme of conversations, performances and community activity that helps us to examine LGBTIQ+ participation and inclusion in sport, and equality and human rights issues across the Commonwealth, thanks to recently announced funding as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund.
With further spaces and partnerships to be announced, Pride House 2026 is shaping up to be a vibrant and memorable element of Glasgow’s summer of sport.
Graham Urquhart, Sales Director at Scotsman Group, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Speakeasy has been selected as the main venue for Pride House Glasgow 2026. It’s a privilege to play a part in creating a welcoming and inclusive space at the heart of such a significant international event. The Games represent a fantastic moment for Glasgow, and being involved in Pride House only adds to our sense of optimism and excitement about what the summer will bring for the city, its communities and visitors alike.”
Cara Shearer, Vice-Chair of LEAP Sports Scotland, said: “Pride House is about creating a place where LGBTIQ+ people and our allies can come together to experience the Games, to watch the sport, share the excitement and feel part of the atmosphere in the city. Speakeasy gives us a fantastic central hub where people can drop in throughout the day, and the community of venues means that we can expand the programme to create a vibrant campus of activity celebrating LGBTIQ+ sport and community.”
