Pride Youth Games is BACK!!!

Pride Youth Games (PYG) is taking place in Scotland this year! It will be a residential weekend of activities held in Largs during August in 2020. PYG is an opportunity like no other where LGBT+ young people can come together and experience sport and activities in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. PYG is a joint initiative of LEAP Sports Scotland, Pride Sports and LGBT Sport Cymru. Young LGBT+ people face hardships including family rejection, homelessness, mental health issues and experiences of anti LGBT+ bullying and violence.

PYG aims to allow LGBT+ youth groups from throughout the UK to come together and reconnect with sport and the benefits it brings. PYG allows for diverse young LGBT+ to engage in sport at a time when they may be vulnerable to social isolation and exclusion. Coming together and engaging in sport can help them to develop confidence and their own identities in a safe space.

PYG provides a space where ALL LGBT+ young people, trans, non-binary, intersex and queer, can reclaim autonomy and connect across a range of sports spaces.

Fun sports, friends, accommodation and food provided!
