Perth Parrots Floorball Club
Floorball in Perth
About the club
Perth Parrots Floorball Club offers a safe and welcoming space for the LGBTI Community and its allies. Open to those aged 18+, the club enables individuals to participate in both regular training and league events regardless of gender identity. The Parrots are affiliated with Scottish Floorball League which hosts regular competitive events from Bells Sports Centre in Perth. For those not interested in the competitive element of sport, the weekly training sessions help to maintain individual fitness, toning, balance and coordination. Additionally the Parrots offer a wider range of activities and social events to help build team spirit and allow club members to make new friends and bond as a team.
What is floorball? Floorball is a fast growing sport in the UK which has taken a significant foothold in Northern and Eastern Europe. Floorball is similar in style to ice hockey, just without ice, skates and uses a ball rather than a puck. This means that the sport is far more affordable and accessible given that expensive time on an ice rick is not required. Teams consist of five players and a goalkeeper on the field and quick unlimited switches with a wider team of up to twenty players.
Floorball is a great way to try something different, meet new people, keep fit, and learn a new skill. Join today!
