About the club

Sekumai Shoto Budo is an LGBTIQ+ martial arts club which works off the key principle of self defence. Our origins are karate based but we incorporate lots of different skill sets, such as: mat work, safe falling, parrying, takedowns, use of focus pads, locks, weapons and application of kata. We use a modelled approach to learning and use principles of developmental behavioural modelling to assist students learn in a recursive way.
