Project Officer (Youth)

We are looking for a new team member to lead on a portfolio of small projects designed to engage LGBTIQ+ young people in physical activity and sport, and to work with a range of partners to improve relevant services and opportunities for LGBTIQ+ young people.

This work will be embedded in our wider remit to promote the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in physical activity, sport and outdoor activity in Scotland and ensure LGBTIQ+ communities can access, participate, and excel in Scottish sport. The Project Officer will: 

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of our Pride Youth Games and Trans*Team programmes;
  • Support and promote youth engagement with our Festival Fortnight each June;
  • Deliver activities as part of our partnerships within European youth projects;
  • Work directly with LGBTIQ+ young people ensuring that their experiences and views are directly embedded into the wider work of LEAP Sports;
  • Develop and share relevant content through our digital platforms.

Location: The job will initially be home based, but a future blend of remote, office based (Glasgow) and on location work is envisaged.

Hours: 20 hours per week, worked flexibly across the week.  

Salary: £22,931 per annum pro-rata 

Entitlements: The post holder will be entitled to 35 days (pro rata) annual leave per year which is inclusive of public holidays. They will also be automatically enrolled in our pension scheme.
