Pride Youth Games

A yearly residential for LGBTIQ+ young people

Pride Youth Games (PYG) is a yearly weekend residential for 16-25 year old lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary, queer and other diversely identifying young people. The weekend includes taster sessions of activities provided by different sports organisations and groups. Pride Youth Games rotates between Scotland, Wales, and England and is held in a different place each year: Carlisle in 2015, Stirling in 2016, Pembrokeshire in 2018, Manchester in 2019, Largs in 2022, and Wrexham in 2023. The events occur in partnership with Pride Sports and Pride Sports Cymru

The event provides a space to meet and get to know other young people from across the UK, and is a chance to try out different sports and activities in a safe, inclusive, and validating environment. It also offers an opportunity to explore wellbeing for LGBTIQ+ young people. The weekend is entirely FREE and available for all young LGBTIQ+ people living in the UK.

This year PYG is on the 2nd-4th of August 2024 in Lancaster, England based at the University of Cumbria. Young people can apply to participate here! LEAP Sports is bringing 30 people from Scotland to take part.
