Pride Youth Games

A yearly residential for LGBTIQ+ young people

Pride Youth Games (PYG) is a yearly weekend residential for 16-25 year old lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary, queer and other diversely identifying young people. The weekend will include taster sessions of activities provided by different sports organisations and groups. Pride Youth Games rotates between Scotland, Wales and England and is held in a different place each year: Carlisle in 2015, Stirling in 2016, Pembrokeshire in 2018 and Manchester in 2019. The events occur in partnership with Pride Sports and LGBT+ Sport Cymru

This year PYG was organised by LEAP Sports on the 12th-14th of August 2022 in Largs, Scotland at the SportScotland National Sports Training Centre Inverclyde. Next year, PYG will take place in Wales on the 4th to 6th of August 2023 organised by LGBT+ Sport Cymru!

The event provides a space to meet and get to know other young people from across the UK, and is a chance to try out different sports and activities in a safe, inclusive, and validating environment. It also offers an opportunity to explore wellbeing for LGBTIQ+ young people. The weekend is entirely FREE and available for everyone living in the UK.
