About the club

Formed in 1985, the East Kilbride Pirates are Scotland’s leading American Football club.

We aim to make our club a welcoming place where everyone can feel supported and able to be themselves. We believe that everyone should be able to participate in and enjoy American football in a safe and positive environment – whoever they are and whatever their background. We welcome players and volunteers of all genders, sexual orientations, religions, ethnicities and backgrounds regardless of experience.

The club is amateur and run by volunteers, and comprises a mixed adult contact team for ages 19+, women’s only teams for flag and contact for ages 16+, an under 19s contact team for 16-19-year-olds, two under 16s contact teams for players aged 13-16-year-olds and flag teams for ages 7-13.

Cost

The charge for each team is an annual amount for each competition year, split into 12 monthly payments to make it more affordable. Annual fees are currently as follows:

Senior Contact (18+) – £360/£270 rookies, students, unemployed
U19 Contact (16-19) – £240
U16 Contact (13-16) – £180
Women’s Contact (16+) – £300
Women’s Flag (16+) – £300
Youth Flag (7-13) – £120

All new players get an initial free trial period of three weeks, but after that point we ask that a standing order is set up for payment.

Players will also need to pay an annual league registration fee:
