Tour de Trans arrive in Scotland!

Tour de Trans in Edinburgh

On Saturday 22nd August, Paeton and their son Callum crossed the border into Scotland and were welcomed in Edinburgh with a small, socially distanced gathering. Present at this event were representatives from Pink Saltire, Trans Active and LGBTI sports clubs Colinton Squashers, Edinburgh Frontrunners, and Edinburgh Racqueteers.

Throughout this event, participants had the opportunity to discuss trans and non-binary issues, and the work being done to raise awareness of these issues. The welcome event was concluded with a 1.1 mile cycle around Holyrood Park which participants thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to all those involved!

Their cycling journey started at Lands 'End and will finish after almost 1000miles at John o' Groats.

In the last few days they are on the way to the last part of their journey:

Aug 23: Edinburgh — Pitlochry
Aug 24: Pitlochry — Inverness
Aug 25: Inverness — Helmsdale
Aug 26: Helmsdale — John o’Groats

You can join Paeton and Callum on virtual pRide and post your cycling photos on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook using #TourDeTrans.
