Get Out Glasgow Upcoming Activities

Recent and upcoming events

The Get Out Glasgow group provides free introductions to sport and physical activity for LGBTIQ+ people in Greater Glasgow.

Over the past month the group have enjoyed ten-pin bowling at our Community Cup, personal training for over 50s, chair yoga with Penny Bond from the Wee Retreat, the first few sessions of an 8 week weightlifting course with AG Fitness, bike maintenance sessions with Dynamo CIC and a curling friendly with Kelvinside Academical Curling Club.

Upcoming activities include:

  • Bike maintenance course at Dynamo CIC in Hyndland, Mondays 6-8pm - 18th March puncture repair, 25th March brake adjustment and 1st April gear adjustment
  • Dr Bike session where you can drop-in for minor repairs by queer mechanics from Dynamo CIC - Saturday 23rd March 11am-2pm by the Squiggly Bridge.
  • Cycle confidence course - not been on your bike for years? Nervous of cycling in traffic? Need to borrow a bike? If you'd like some support to build confidence cycling with other LGBTIQ+ people contact Robin about this 6 week course delivered by Dynamo CIC and Glasgow Inclusive Cycling Club from 6-7pm on Mondays from 15th April - 2 spaces left!
  • Archery taster session with Glasgow Archers Sunday 14th April 10.30-12 noon - 2 spaces left!
  • LGBTIQ+ Vitality taster sessions - April - dates tbc - designed to support people with a range of medical conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, Stroke, Cardiac Conditions, Osteoporosis, Cognitive impairments and COPD to improve their coordination, flexibility and prevent further injury.
