Team Scotland Kit Launch
11th July 2023
EuroGames Bern 2023
Team Scotland are officially ready for Bern, and this year we're back in the blue.
Scottish athletes have participated in international LGBTIQ+ tournaments for many years, but 2018 marked the first time that an organised LGBTI Team Scotland took part in international games. You can read about the first games experience here.
Previous participants have told us about the lifechanging experience of taking part in Games, and Bill Gardiner who was a flag-bearer for us in a previous Games and who will compete in track and field events this year said "It was the priveledge of my life to not only represent my country in the tournament, but also to be able to lead our team out in the opening ceremony. I will never forget that special experience".
Earlier this year we reported that the Perth Parrots had announced their participation and here they are below, modelling this year's team kit.
The EuroGames are a multi-sport event for LGBTIQ+ people and their friends, and is licensed by the European Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation. This 20th edition of the Games will take place from 26th-29th July in the Swiss capital and there are 26 sports already on the schedule.
With huge thanks to Frazer Robertson for his hard work in coordinating this year's team kit.
