LGBT History Month Bowling Competition

LEAP Sports Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with the organisers of LGBT History Month Scotland 2013 (more info below).
Instead of celebrating LGBT history we will be helping to make it, by encouraging people throughout the country to participate in sport.
Taking part couldn’t be simpler – just follow these 5 key steps:
- Get a team of four assembled.
- Select a date/time/venue (must take place between 1st & 14th February).
- Sign up on our website
- Visit your local bowling centre and play two games each, ensuring to combine all 8 scores to create a collective team score.
- Submit confirmation of your score together with and a picture of your group for our gallery to – events@leapsports.org
LEAP Sports Scotland won’t be charging a single penny to coordinate this event however those participating will have to pay for lane and shoe hire at their venue of choice.
On Friday 15th February we will post our National Competition Heats League Table and invite the top ten teams to participate in our National Final to be hosted at AMF Bowling in Stirling on the 23rd February 2013. Lane and shoe hire will be covered for all ten teams participating in the National Final, however they will be asked to cover transport costs.
So start assembling your team and let the heats commence!
LGBT History Month is an annual LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) event which takes place every February and celebrates all things LGBT – past, present and future. It brings the community together through a wide variety of events including arts, film screenings, coffee mornings, poetry readings, charity events and more. LEAP Sport Scotland will work with the organisers of LGBT History Month to ensure that sport becomes central to events and activities taking place throughout the month.
